Hi, Bringing my son to Disney for the first time for his 10th Birthday. Arrive at 9:40a on his birthday 1/18. First day will be non park day. We will visit parks the following two days. Suggestions on how to spend that day celebrating his birthday?

Hello there, Ashley! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! We appreciate you taking the time to reach out and allowing us to help you plan your visit to Walt Disney World Resort!

First, I'd like to wish your son a very happy (early) birthday! I believe that visiting Walt Disney World Resort is the absolute best way to celebrate such a momentous occasion!

There are so many fun activities outside of the parks that you and your son can enjoy on his special day! My number one recommendation would be to visit Disney Springs! This eclectic area boasts an outstanding number of shops, many delicious dining options, and a variety of entertainment options. The best way to celebrate your son's birthday may be to actually allow him to choose which shops you visit, where you dine, and which entertainment options you enjoy.

One incredible opportunity I would recommend would be The VOID: Step Beyond Reality at Disney Springs. This engaging mode of story-telling combines virtual reality technology, physical stages, and sensory effects to transport you right into the story! Guests can currently choose between Star Wars: Secrets of the Empire and Ralph Breaks VR for their virtual reality experience!

Another option he may enjoy is The Lego Store! This amazingly creative store features massive Lego sculptures and invites Guests to tell their own stories through classic brick-by-brick creations!

I hope this has given you a few ideas on how you may be able to celebrate your son's upcoming birthday at Walt Disney World Resort!
