    Bringing our son for his 7th birthday what special events are there for him?

    Hi Corey!

    I am delighted that you are bringing your seven-year-old son to Walt Disney World for his birthday! There is no better place in the world to celebrate! There are so many wonderful events, treats, and gifts that will make your son's birthday extra special!

    I encourage you to make an advanced dining reservation at one of the many Walt Disney World table service restaurants. I think your son will love Chef Mickey's because he can dine with the Fab Five (Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Goofy, and Donald). Make sure to note that you are celebrating your son's birthday on the reservation, as he may even receive a special birthday treat. You can also order a birthday cake in advance by calling the cake hotline at 407-827-2253.  This restaurant is located in Disney's Contemporary Resort, which is a short monorail ride away from Disney's Magic Kingdom.

    And Corey, while you are at Disney's Magic Kingdom, make sure to bring your son to some of the amazing attractions, such as Peter Pan's Flight and Seven Dwarf's Mine Train. If you stay at one of the Deluxe Walt Disney World Resort Hotels, you can also enjoy extended evening hours. The extended evening hours are special because you can stay in the park after the park closes to enjoy shorter lines on many of your favorite attractions.

    Your son may also like attending one of the many special events occurring in May, such as the Disney H2O Glow After Hours at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon. This event offers a unique opportunity to explore Typhoon Lagoon after the park closes! There will be fewer crowds, special treats, and night illuminations! Another special event during May is the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival. He will love getting special treats at the outdoor kitchens.

    When you arrive at your Walt Disney World Resort Hotel, make sure to ask a Cast Member for a "Happy Birthday" button! You can get it customized with his name and age and he will love hearing "Happy Birthday" salutations all day!
