Bringing my granddaughters to WDW in May 2016 they will be 6 and 3. What are the must do character dining that we have to experience while visiting WDW? Also what dining plan do you recommend if we are wanting to do a few character dining experiences?

    Hello Sandy,

Who better, than another grandmother, to answer your question about the Grand Adventure that you are planning for next year.  Your precious girls will enjoy any dining experience where they can meet their favorite princesses.  Here are a few of the royal favorites:

    Cinderella's Royal Table
    Akershus Royal Banquet Hall
    Cinderella's Happily Ever After Dinner

My all time favorite character meal is dining with Mickey and his friends at Chef Mickey's.  All the Disney favorites are there and the buffet meal is sure to satisfy those little appetites.

To enjoy a few character experiences during your trip, the standard Disney Dining Plan should suit your needs.  In the link, there is a comparison of all the plans. You'll want to choose one that includes one table service meal per day.  Don't forget to make your Advanced Dining Reservations 180 days in advance to secure your preferred days and times.

I am excited to play your Fairy Grandmother today and help you with your trip. Please come back to the Moms Panel if we can assist with any of the magic that you have planned for your granddaughters.

Walt Disney captured my heart as a little girl and has not let go since. As a parent and grandparent, I have been to the Walt Disney World Resort with children of all ages, and also as empty nesters. I would like to share my years of experience so that you are able to start your own tradition of Walt Disney World memories, just as I have. Learn More About Leanne
