We are bringing10 family members to Disney World and we want to give each person $300. to spend using their Magic bands. If I buy 10 Visa Debit Cards from Publix's will I be able to attached one of the debit cards to each of the bands

Hiya from a fellow Georgian, Margaret!

Margaret, designating a set amount for each person to spend on themselves is one of my favorite tips. I love seeing which special souvenirs my kids pick out on their own.

You are able to designate a different card for each MagicBand on your account. What you will need to do is to complete your Online Resort Check-In using your individual credit card. Then, once you arrive at your Disney Resorts Collection hotel, visit the front desk to have the individual cards linked to the account.

Margaret, I would warn you against having a pre-paid card attached to your MagicBand. The way that Disney charges your credit card on the account is first with a hold. Once you exceed your original amount, additional holds are established above the amount that you purchased, meaning that your party members may not be able to use the full $300 if you are using a pre-paid card.

What I suggest you do instead is to purchase a Disney Gift Card for each member of your party. They can then either use the gift card directly for their purchases, or pay with their MagicBands and visit the front desk to have the credit card charge reversed, and the gift card applied!

I hope that this helped, Margaret!

Please come back here with any other questions. We love to hEAR from you!
