Bringing extended family with 5 kids(all ages 2-5)coming Feb 15-17 staying off property and on a tight budget. We are going to MK on Sat and Mon, Sun we are going to see the resorts on property we need FREE activities we can do and keep the WDW magic alive

Hi, Helen!  There are some free things the kids can do around the Walt Disney World resort that should keep the day fun and interesting.  If you want to start your day at Downtown Disney, you'll find the kids will have an opportunity to enjoy the Legos or assemble Mr. Potato Heads at the various shops there, and you might even get a complimentary chocolate at the Ghirardelli store.

Disney's Animal Kingdom is one of the most awesome places to go with young children.  Step outside and watch the animals on the savanna.  There are often guides out there that may be able to tell you something about the animals you are seeing, and they even have African storytellers periodically to entertain you with stories of the real African savannas.

The Boardwalk resort has free evening entertainment in the form of "street" performers.  You might see a magician or a juggler or something along those lines out on the Boardwalk to entertain guests.

You don't need a theme park ticket to ride the boats or the monorail, and they can be fun activities to do with little ones.  My youngest, who had never ridden a bus before, thought the one she rode at Disney when she was two was the most magical attraction anywhere!

I'd also take them to the value resorts.  The All Stars are awesome places to wander around, with life size and giant size versions of some familiar Disney icons.  They are great places to play and take pictures.

    Have an absolutely wonderful trip!
