    We are bringing our extended family to Contemporary in March. Do you buy your Magic Bands ahead of time or when we check in?

    I'm so excited to hear you are staying at Disney's Contemporary Resort.  Our family has so many wonderful memories here.  We love to watch the monorails breeze through the resort towers and you are steps away from riding the monorail whenever you'd like to.  Disney's Contemporary Resort is located conveniently to Magic Kingdom Park and in fact, you can walk there on the designated path in about 10 minutes.  Disney's Contemporary Resort is also home to Chef Mickey's - a great place to enjoy a character meal and reservations are available to you 60 days before your arrival.  Great choice, Wanda!

    If your traveling party will be using MagicBands or MagicBand+, I would highly recommend purchasing them in advance as there is often pre-arrival pricing available to you.  Once your reservation is made, you can purchase online under "My MagicBands and Cards" within My Disney Experience.  If you'd like to have the MagicBands delivered to your home address, you will need to place your order at least 11 days before your arrival.  If you purchase your MagicBands 6-10 days before your arrival, they will be delivered to the front desk of Disney's Contemporary Resort.
