Our family is going to stay on property in a few weeks. My bf made the plans but doesn’t have a phone capable of downloading the my Disney experience app. I have the app but not sure how to add him to my account.

    Hello there, Kim!

I’m so glad that you stopped by planDisney before your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation. Your trip will be here faster than Chewie can make the jump to lightspeed. I’d be happy to help you and your boyfriend set up your My Disney Experience accounts since I’ve visited the theme parks with my in-laws, and they didn’t have cell phones. Here are a few tips to help you get started:

First, everyone in your party will need to create a My Disney Experience account. You can simply make an account on the My Disney Experience website in advance of your vacation. Once everyone in your party has an account, you’ll want to link your group up together to your “My Family & Friends List.” You can add a Guest to your List by finding that person through already connected Guests, importing their Walt Disney World Resort hotel information, or entering their name and age. After you send each person an invitation to connect, each Guest will need to accept the invitation so that you can start planning your vacation together.

Kim, I hope these tips allow you to see your boyfriend's plans in your My Disney Experience mobile app. You can find the Resort hotel reservation by selecting the three horizontal bars in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen and “Future Plans.” You should be able to see any tickets purchased by selecting the three horizontal bars in the bottom right corner, followed by “Tickets and Passes.” Don’t forget to make any theme park reservations for each day you plan on visiting a theme park.

When it comes time to enter the theme parks, your party has three modes of entry options as long as everyone has a valid ticket and theme park reservation: 1) use Disney MagicMobile on your mobile device to scan your ticket at the entrance, 2) scan a MagicBand to enter, or 3) collect a physical ticket from the ticket window and scan it to enter the theme parks.

I hope your party is one with the force during your upcoming vacation. Let us know if you need any other tips or advice before it begins.

May the magic be with you!
