I am bringing an eight year old the parks with me in July. She is not mine, but a family friend. What are some documents I will need bring with me?

    Hi Kaycee,

I bet you're getting excited for your summer vacation to the most magical place on earth! And what a lucky little girl to get to go with you on an incredible Walt Disney World Resort vacation! How fun!

While you won't need to present any identification for you or your Mouseketeer friend to enter the theme parks, and will simply use your fingerprint along with your card or MagicBand, you will need a valid photo I.D. to check in at a Disney Resort hotel. Even though you won't need anything official with you, I'd still recommend bringing along whatever you and the child's parents feel would be helpful for traveling in general. We are a trans-racial adoptive family and often bring along copies of birth certificates and adoption decrees anytime we travel just in case we would ever have an issue.

Thanks so much for visiting us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Kaycee, and please let us know if you have any other questions as you're planning your trip. I hope that you have a truly magical vacation!
