hello, we are bringing my 4yo to DW dec 14-18, I am not sure what king of clothes to pack, she would really love to be able to go swimming are your pools heated? Thanks for any advice.

    Hello there Janet!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!  We're glad you're here! December is my favorite time of year to visit the "Most Magical Place on Earth" as all of the parks and resorts are beautifully decorated for the Holiday season!

I have visited Walt DIsney World in December, more times than I can count, and have experienced everything from really warm to extremely cold weather. In 2012, I wore pants with short sleeve tops and brought a light jacket into the parks for the mornings and early evenings. However, last year the temperature was much colder and we needed to layer and wear heavy coats during our trip. The average high temperature in December is traditionally in the low 70s with an average low temperature in the low 50s. I recommend packing pants with tops that can be layered. I would also bring comfortable walking shoes and a jacket for the evenings in the park. You may also want to pack a few pair of shorts, just in case. I am happy to report that the pools at the Walt Disney World Resorts are heated year-round so be sure to pack your swimsuits. Be sure to check the Orlando forecast in the days leading up to your trip so that you can pack accordingly. I hope this information helps! Please don't hesitate to write us back with any additional vacation planning questions. Best wishes for a magical and merry trip, Janet!

    Happy Packing,
    Jodie
