Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Carol! In just a few weeks you and your favorite pooches will be enjoying a magical vacation at the Walt Disney World Resort!
My family and I visited the
Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort last December with our canine family members. They loved every minute of their stay just as much as we did!
We stayed at a cabin in the 2400 loop, Settlers Bend. There was a nice grassy area just a few minutes’ walk from our cabin and it was great for the dogs. The Waggin’ Trails dog park is in the Campsites at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Area, near the 1400 loop, Little Bear Path & Big Bear Path. It is a bit of a walk from the cabin area.
If you’re
renting a golf cart during your stay, it may be a good idea to use it to get to the dog park. You will notice that the cabins are closer to the entrance of the resort and the campsite and RV areas are closer to the beach front. So, no matter where you stay, you are a longer walk, few minute-long golf cart or bus ride away.
Carol, before your stay, take a look at the
Dog Policies in place at the Walt Disney World Resort. You can always call (407) 934-7639 to speak to a friendly Cast Member if you have any specific questions about your visit.
I hope this information is helpful to you as you continue to put those finishing touches on your upcoming visit. Don’t hesitate to drop back in with any additional questions.
