Hi Kelsie,
We are beyond excited to know that your daughter is coming to the Walt Disney World® Resort for a
Make-a-Wish visit. She deserves every bit of magic we can sprinkle. Disney has a range of
Services for Guests with Disabilities. One of those that I recommend for you is the
Disability Access Service (DAS).
When I spoke with a member of our Disability Services Team, they indicated that you should get the wagon stroller approved in the DAS registration process. I suggest that you go to the Disney website and
pre-register for DAS. In the process, advise the cast member that this trip is part of a Make-A-Wish visit, your daughter uses a wagon stroller as her wheelchair, is in kidney failure, has breathing issues, and cannot tolerate the traditional attraction queue. Once you are pre-registered, you can select up to two advance selections per day that you have valid theme park admission. Review the
list of attractions that may be eligible for the DAS advance planning option.
Looking at your arrival date, I see that you will be there right after Mother's Day for the U.S. I am also taking my girls on a girls' trip during that week, so happy early Mother's Day to you. If you do not yet have any advanced dining reservations, I do hope you get to experience at least one
character meal. Try breakfast at
Cinderella's Royal Table,
Topolino's Terrace - Flavors of the Riviera or
1900 Park Fare. My girls love each of these and the characters at Topolino's Terrace are adorable!
One of my nieces received a Make-A-Wish trip years ago. Since then she's had two kidney transplants and is living a beautiful life. If I could offer you anything, it would be the hope that your Jedi princess will get what she needs, she will achieve her dreams, and you will be there every step of the way. She has a galaxy of Resistance allies standing with her.
Kelsie, also know this, Mulan is my favorite Disney character. I see in your daughter her remarkable strength. She
brings honor to us all.Magic and memories.
