    Hi there, Emmy!

I'm so happy to hear you're enjoying a stay at Disney's Wilderness Lodge! The resort's rustic charm and attention to detail, like the light feature you mentioned, truly make it a special place. It's all about those cozy, wilderness vibes with a touch of Disney magic!

Regarding the light feature in your room, it sounds like you're encountering a bit of a puzzle with the dimming function. Many rooms at Walt Disney World Resort hotels have lighting controls that are designed to be user-friendly, but each type of room or resort can have its own unique setup. The beautiful geode-inspired lighting feature in the Wilderness Lodge rooms is actually two-sided, with one pane facing the bedroom and the other facing the bathroom. You can turn each light on separately, as the lights function individually. The eye-catching, colorful pane is a lovely addition to the recently renovated rooms.

Typically, the lighting controls should allow you to adjust the brightness to your liking, not just switch from fully on to off. If pressing the button with the down arrow turns the light off without stopping at different levels of brightness, there might be a couple of things to consider:

Try pressing and holding the button with the down arrow instead of just pressing it quickly. Sometimes, the dimming function is activated by holding the button down, which should gradually reduce the light level until you release the button at your desired brightness.

In some cases, lighting systems require multiple taps to adjust the brightness levels. Try tapping the button with the down arrow multiple times to see if it cycles through different dimming settings.

If neither of these solutions works and the light continues to dim only to the point of turning off, I recommend reaching out to the Front Desk or using your room's phone to contact Guest Services. The Cast Members at Wilderness Lodge are wonderful and will be more than happy to assist you, ensuring your stay is as comfortable and magical as possible.

Wilderness Lodge is home to my favorite Character Dining experience - Story Book Dining at Artist Point with Snow White. It isn't just a meal, but an immersion into Snow White's story. The opportunity to meet Snow White, Dopey, Grumpy, and even The Queen herself adds a sprinkle of Disney magic that's sure to create memories to last a lifetime!
If you get a chance to enjoy this experience, it's wonderful - and the menu is amazing. Say hi to Snow for me!

Enjoy every moment of your stay at Wilderness Lodge, from the gorgeous lobby to the tranquil sounds of nature all around. If you have any more questions or need further assistance during your stay, feel free to ask!
