Can I bring unopened bottles of bitters in my carry-on on a Disney cruise?

    Ahoy, Mary!

Welcome to planDisney! By the week's end, you'll be setting sail for a magical vacation on board Disney Cruise Line. I know the next few days will be busy with packing, but I hope it's a seamless few days as you prepare. Before you leave home, make sure to download the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app. You can log in at the port and begin favoriting (or hearting) all your must-dos while you wait to board the ship.

While Disney Cruise Line does allow you to bring some alcoholic beverages in your carry-on luggage, bitters would fall under the prohibited items list. I don't want you to waste valuable space in your carry-on, so I'm glad you sent in this question. If you do want to bring what's permitted, the current policy states two bottles of wine or champagne (not to exceed 750ml) or six bottles of beer (12 ounces or less) per person 21 years and older. Again, this would need to be packed in your carry-on luggage. You can also bring these allowed beverages on in each port following the same guidelines.

Mary, best wishes for the most wonderful cruise this week. I know the cast and crew can't wait to welcome you aboard and provide you with a fabulous vacation experience.

    Bon Voyage,
    Nancy
