Can we bring in toy light sabers into the park?

    Hello there, David!

Welcome to planDisney! As a fellow wielder of that elegant weapon from a more civilized age, I’m thrilled to help you navigate the galaxy of information surrounding lightsabers at the Disneyland Resort.

The answer to your question is a resounding yes! Guests are welcome to bring toy lightsabers into both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure, so long as they follow the Property Rules and consult the Prohibited Items List. Keep in mind, though, that one of the key guidelines is that Guests may not engage in activities that could compromise the safety of others…so no duels on Main Street, even if you're feeling the power of the Force. And since policies can shift faster than a podracer on Boonta Eve, it’s always a good idea to double-check those guidelines before your visit.

If you're planning to bring your own saber, fantastic! However, if you’re feeling inspired to upgrade your gear, I’ve got some galactic suggestions. Over in Tomorrowland, just past the exit of Star Tours – The Adventures Continue, you'll find The Star Trader. This shop is stocked with gear from across the galaxy, including a build-your-own lightsaber station that’s perfect for younglings and seasoned Jedi alike.

But if you’re searching for a deeper connection to the Force, nothing compares to Savi’s Workshop in Galaxy’s Edge. Tucked away in a hidden corner of Black Spire Outpost, Savi’s offers a truly immersive experience. Here, you'll select your kyber crystal and build a lightsaber aligned with your path; whether it's Peace and Justice, Elemental Nature, Protection and Defense, or Power and Control. One of my favorite memories is returning to Batuu with my wife, our custom lightsabers in hand, capturing photos as we ignited our blades, lighting up the night sky in Black Spire. It’s a core memory now stored in our personal holocron.

I hope this helps, David! No matter where your journey takes you in the parks, may it be filled with unforgettable moments from a galaxy not so far, far away.

And as always, may the Force be with you!
