Welcome, Martin!
My mother-in-law lives in Southern California, so whenever our family is out to visit her, we schedule in at least a few days of fun at the
Disneyland Resort too! Sometimes we stay at a
Disney Hotel or
Good Neighbor Hotel, and often we stay with her since she lives only 20 minutes away. In those cases, I've been happy to pack snacks and even some quick lunches for our family to carry in my backpack throughout the day.
Guests are allowed to
bring in their own snacks or sandwiches and bottles of water, yes. As I mentioned, I carry mine in a small cooler section of my backpack. Just check the
Park Rules and Regulations for cooler size restrictions if you plan to bring a cooler. It's so nice to have the snacks on us when we find ourselves suddenly hungry while waiting in line for a ride. The kids can munch on a snack to tide them over until it's time to board the attraction. That helps pass the time and we have to eat anyway, right? Two birds, one stone!
We also love to pull out our food to snack on when we're sitting down early to grab a seat and wait for a parade to begin. The kids like to be on the move, but I like to get a good viewing spot, which sometimes means arriving early and sitting for a bit. So, I'll plan our meal around that and plop us all down to save spots and enjoy our food at the same time! I do this wether I've got my own food or we purchase from one of the
Quick Service dining spots and just carry that food over to eat. Planning a quick meal around a
parade always works out so well!
Have fun as you plan for a day of magical excitement at the Disneyland Resort, Martin!
