Can we bring a 30 pound weighted vest if we wear it?

Hi Jennifer! Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney.

Wearing a weighted vest is a popular way to get a little more out of your daily walks or workouts, and boy, do I walk while enjoying the parks! How many steps do you plan to take while exploring? Those comfortable walking shoes are a must! And I never head to the parks without my refillable water bottle too.

I think I have good news for you: there's nothing explicitly in the Park Rules against wearing a weighted vest at the parks. Weighted vests aren't currently among the list of prohibited items and don't conflict with the Guest Courtesy and Attire Policies. However, these rules are subject to change, and it's always up to the discretion of the Cast Members at security what can safely enter the parks. If necessary, Guests are subject to additional search, and your weighted vest might require some attention. Be prepared to answer questions about your vest, and hopefully, you breeze right through security, so you're that much closer to enjoying your day.

Another great way to exercise during your stay is at one of the Fitness Centers offered as an amenity of your stay at a Disneyland Resort Hotel. But there are more adventure options too! Check out some of the fitness classes currently being offered. There's even a Power Walking Workout in Disney California Adventure Park!

    Have a magical day.
