Hi Irasema!
Thanks for poppin’ by with your thoughtful question about refillable popcorn buckets at the
Walt Disney World Resort. This is my favorite snack in the theme parks – they may always have fancier, trendier, more seasonal items (which are also still very yummy) but I keep coming back to old reliable, classic popcorn!
These fun buckets are not only handy but are also a great value for your vacation. You purchase the souvenir bucket once, and then receive discounted refills throughout the theme parks and Disney Springs as often as you’d like during your visit. I'm sorry to share that the policy is to receive those refills “for the length of your stay,” so you can save room in your suitcase this time and leave an older popcorn bucket at home. You'll find current pricing listed on menus in the
My Disney Experience App, which you can even browse from home to find the best locations during your day for a fresh refill.
These handy buckets remain a smart purchase for each trip if your family enjoys snacking on this fresh, salty snack throughout the day. I love seeing the new fun seasonal designs available for purchase, so you will likely find beautiful holiday décor on your next popcorn bucket during the
Most Magical Time of the Year. I do like to pack a small dish soap and sponge on these trips for sanitizing our refillable water bottles and cleaning out the buttery popcorn bucket at night so that it’s ready for the next day’s refill. I also like to pack delicate items inside the bucket for the journey home as an extra precaution against any breakage of uniquely shaped trinkets. Once at home, these buckets make for fun décor or useful storage; my son enjoys playing with them in the sand at the beach or storing small figures and toys in them. We’ve been known to use them for movie night at home too with our own freshly made popcorn and treats! No matter their long-term use, they remain a useful souvenir both on vacation and at home.
Popcorn for sale inside the theme park gates is a tradition that dates to the opening day at Disneyland, so I always feel connected to Walt Disney and his original vision for the theme parks when I enjoy this simple treat. I hope you can enjoy endless discounted refills in a brand-new decorative bucket on your upcoming trip. As my corny son likes to say, you “butter not” bring an old bucket as they won’t honor it for refills next time.

Wishing you a practically perfect vacation,
