Hello Tina!
Welcome back! One of my favorite Disney quotes is from the fierce Edna Mode, fashion designer to superheroes: Luck favors the prepared! You are doing your homework and I hope that means your cruise will be smooth sailing.
When it comes to
required travel documentation, a passport is always your best bet. Generally, it's recommended to keep your passports locked in the stateroom safe during your voyage. As you
come and go from the ship in port you'll need to show a photo ID and your Key to the World card. For an extra layer of security, you are welcome to bring your passports with you (be careful to keep them safe) but it's not typically required. Some guests like to carry photocopies of their passports (or photos on their phones) as a backup option that isn't as risky as carrying your passports.
If you do decide to carry your passports with you on excursions then I'd look for a comfortable wallet you can wear under your clothes to keep them close. I also have a crossbody bag with a discreet zipper pocket that I use often when I travel to keep important things safe.
Another way to make your adventures more secure is to book
Port Adventures through Disney Cruise Line. Because these curated experiences are coordinated directly with the ship you'll have magical help if the ship is late or if your tour takes an unexpected turn. There are plenty of options to choose from...so many that I usually have a hard time picking just one in each port!
Thanks for letting me be a little part of your cruise planning, Tina! Be sure to let us know if you have any other questions.
Keep moving forward!
Amanda
