Hi Alvin,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I hope that since you're thinking about what to pack in your backpack for a magical day at the theme parks, your Walt Disney World Resort vacation is all planned and almost here! SO exciting!
I'd definitely encourage you to read through the
park rules to make sure you don't bring anything that is prohibited, like weapons of any kinds, alcohol or illegal substances, or even things like selfie sticks. There will be a security checkpoint outside of every theme park where your bags will be searched, but as long as you follow all of the rules, please feel free to bring whatever will help your day be as magical as possible! My personal recommendation is that unless you're Mary Poppins and can fit anything and everything into your bag, be sure to pack lightly. My family usually packs photo IDs, medicines, sunscreen, sunglasses, water bottles, snacks, ponchos, and hand sanitizer, but that's about it. Each person ties a sweatshirt around their waist if we're concerned about the temperature dropping in the evening. When my Mouseketeers were smaller, we needed more things, but I carry the things we do need for the day in a sling bag, and we leave the rest of our gear back at our
Disney Resort hotel room.
If you find that you'll need more than what you'd like to carry around for the day, you'll be happy to know that
lockers are available to rent at all of the theme parks.
Thanks so much for stopping by, Alvin, and please feel free to come see us again with any other questions you may have. I hope that you have a truly magical vacation!
Missy
