Can I bring my own Lightsaber, not made by Disney, to DisneyWorld’s Galaxy’s Edge?

Bright Suns, Kristine! I received the transmission your droid send us to planDisney. Thankfully, Obi-Wan Kenobi isn't your only hope!

You'll be traveling to a galaxy far, far away in just a few weeks and will be landing on planet Batuu in Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge! It sounds like you want to be ready to battle the First Order once you arrive. Thank the maker! We've been looking for one more Jedi to bring balance to the force! Kristine, I'm happy to let you know that you're welcome to bring your own lightsaber to Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, as long as it doesn't resemble a weapon from your home planet of Earth and doesn't have glass components (in line with the list of prohibited items). However, please keep in mind that you will have to stow away your lightsaber when boarding rides and attractions. If you have a lightsaber that has a retractable blade, that may be the most desirable option!

Kristine, you'll want to refuel after your long journey and I'd recommend placing a mobile order at either Ronto Roasters or Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo. If you have any other questions, please visit us again. And may the Force be with you!

Meet the Panelist: Michelle, Pennsylvania

Hello from Mister Rogers' Neighborhood, also known as Pittsburgh! My husband and I live in a little town that we affectionately call Main Street, U.S.A. where we often find ourselves seeking out ice cream, finding new adventures, and having lightsaber battles in our backyard. While we love to travel to galaxies far, far away, we consider Walt Disney World Resort our second home and I can't wait to help you add even more magic to your Disney vacations!
