Hey there, Riley!
Thanks for visiting us with your Disney World question today... and welcome to planDisney! I love your idea to book a
Guided Bass Fishing Excursion, so I cast around to find some details for you.
My family enjoyed a guided bass fishing experience on Bay Lake a few years ago, and my kids still talk about it. It was one of the coolest, most unique experiences we've ever had at Walt Disney World. Being out on the pontoon boat was relaxing, yet extremely fun... and every single one of us caught multiple fish! Aaahhh, a lovely afternoon spent on the water, with the beautiful Grand Floridian in the background. The views and chance to see the different resorts and islands from a different perspective was incredible!
I found some additional details on guest policies for the fishing excursions. Good news... yes, you are welcome to bring your own fishing rod! Even if a guest brings their own equipment, the same rates will still apply. Fly fishing gear is not available, but if you bring this type of rod and reel... your guide can take you out to fly fish for bass. Tackle, bait and non-alcoholic beverages are provided, and included in the cost of your experience.
I'm sure as a fisherman you are aware of what to bring. But the mom in me feels the need to remind you to please pack your sunscreen, sunglasses, sun hat, and maybe even a rain jacket. These 2 or 4 hour excursions open up for reservations 60 days in advance, and are available from a few different marina locations. I recommended that you
call to make a reservation once you have a date in mind.
I hope this helps, Riley... and that you have an amazing time bass fishing at Walt Disney World! Feel free to visit us at planDisney any time, if we can assist with any other tips or answers.
Have a magical day!
