Can I bring an opened bottle of cordial on board as well as the permitted two bottles of wine

    Ahoy Michelle!

Welcome to planDisney. We're so glad you sailed by with a question. I'm excited to hear you have a Disney Cruise Line vacation on the horizon. Our family always looks forward to our time at sea when we can unwind, reconnect and just let the gently swaying ship lull us to sleep each evening.

Depending on the length of our sailing, my husband and I usually bring a bottle or two of wine along with us to enjoy on our verandah as we watch the waves roll by. It's the perfect way to relax before dinner and a peaceful little nightcap tradition at the end of our magical day. If you hope to do the same you'll want to note that eligible aged guests are limited to bringing beer, wine or champagne onboard. You'll be able to bring two bottles of unopened wine or champagne (750ml or less) or 6 unopened beers (12oz or less) onboard at the start of your cruise and at each port of call. Unfortunately, you cannot bring any cordials or spirits onboard, even if they are unopened.

Keep in mind that any beer or wine bought onboard must be carried in your carry-on bag and not placed in checked luggage. You should plan to carry the bottles around with you for a bit as staterooms are not always ready as soon as guests are permitted on board.

If you have your heart set on a particular cocktail be sure to stop by any of the lounges or nightclubs onboard. I've always found the bartenders to be friendly and knowledgeable. In fact, I've found a few new favorite drinks based on their helpful recommendations! I'd also recommend looking into Beverage Tastings if available during your cruise where you can sample new flavors and learn a little too! You can book these and other Onboard Activities according to your Castaway Club level once your cruise is paid in full.

I hope this was helpful Michelle! If we can answer any additional questions or provide more personalized recommendations please don't hesitate to come back to planDisney and ask us. We're always eager to help guests make the most of their magical vacations!

    Bon voyage,
    Amy
