Can I bring my 20 month old son on the Cruise? Do they have childcare facilities on board for kids this age?

    Ahoy, Rekha!

You can absolutely bring your son on a Disney cruise! There are plenty of family activities that you can all enjoy together, as well as areas just for small children.

The It's A Small World Nursery. located right near the Oceaneer Lab and Oceaneer Club, is a great place to take your son so that you can enjoy some adult time. You will definitely want to reserve some time here prior to your arrival for your cruise. For first time cruisers, you can book nursery time starting at 75 days prior to sailing.

I would highly recommend trying one of my favorite adult-exclusive activities, brunch at Palo. It is one of my favorite splurges on every Disney Cruise. I absolutely love the grape and gorgonzola pizza...yum!

Your family can enjoy some fun time together in the Oceaneer Club and Oceaneer Lab during their open house hours. I would definitely try to make it to this at least once, so that you can see what is in store for your son when he gets a little older!

I hope this helps with your cruise planning. Please come back and see us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with more questions as they arise.

    Happy Cruising, Tracy V.

Walt Disney World was my very first vacation, when I was just 3 months old, and I recently completed my 73rd trip to a Disney location! I have been fortune enough to parasail high above the Disney Fantasy, attend opening day of Batuu, snorkel in the lagoon at Disney's Aulani, and SO MUCH MORE! I can't wait to help you plan your Disney vacation!
