Can a bring a larger sized mini fridge rental into a room? We have 4 small kids, one with sensory issues (extremely particular about food) and a baby with several severe food allergies- so we need a lot of our own food and the studio room fridge too small

    Hi Elizabeth,

Welcome to planDisney! I’m sure your entire family is excitedly counting down the days until your upcoming vacation! I’ll be happy to help you prepare for your magical trip.

Unfortunately, you cannot bring your own refrigerator to your Disney Resort. I reached out to a Cast Member to discuss your options. Most Disney Resort hotels have an In-Room Refrigerator or Beverage Cooler. The Cast Member stated that you can request an additional fridge or cooler be placed in your room at check-in, subject to availability. You can also call in advance and note this request on your reservation by calling the number listed under “Disney Resort Hotel Reservations.”

Bell Services at your resort can also store any medical supplies that need refrigeration. If you need to take medications or supplies to the theme parks, First Aid can store them for you.

You mentioned food allergies, Elizabeth. Most restaurants at Walt Disney World can accommodate allergy-friendly requests. When checking in to your dining reservation on the My Disney Experience app you are asked to note any food allergies, however, you are asked to also tell a Cast Member at the restaurant about your dietary requests even if it was already noted. If any member of your party has four or more allergy requests, requires pureed meals, or adheres to a medically-restricted diet, please contact the Special Diets team at Special.Diets@DisneyWorld.com no more than 14 days prior to your arrival.

I hope this helps, Elizabeth. You’re doing a great job planning your vacation and preparing for the needs of your family! Come back and see us at planDisney with any more questions you have.
