Can I bring a Lapu Lapu from Tambu Lounge out by the pools during our stay at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, or will I need to stay in the lounge area? Thank you!

Aloha, Mary! Welcome back to planDisney, and thank you for sharing your question!

It looks like your Walt Disney World adventure is just around the corner. Woo hoo! How exciting! Let’s set sail and get you the answers you need to make your vacation the most amazing one yet.

The Polynesian Village Resort is one of my favorite places at Walt Disney World, and all of the restaurants, bars, and lounges with their delicious elixirs are a big part of the reason why! I chatted with a friendly Cast Member who confirmed that you can bring drinks from Tambu Tambu Lounge to the Polynesian Village Resort pools. Like all Walt Disney World Resort hotel pools, there are no glass containers allowed in the pool area, but pineapples are allowed if you decide to order the famous Lapu Lapu. You can also take beverages down the beach, which is a great spot to watch the fireworks from the Magic Kingdom.

If you haven’t already, I would highly recommend checking out Wailulu Bar & Grill at the new Island Tower. My wife and I stopped over there on one of our Magic Kingdom days, and it was the fantastic tropical getaway we needed on a hot day in the parks. I’m not usually a salad guy, but I would highly recommend the Grilled Tofu Chow Mein Salad (with a Lili'uokalani Mai Tai to wash it down).

Mary, I hope this information was helpful and that you have the most amazing visit to Walt Disney World and the Polynesian Village Resort. Come right back if you have any other questions. You’re planDisney ‘Ohana is here to help!

    Magical travels!
