Welcome back to planDisney, Kelly!
It’s always so wonderful when you stop by with a question for us.
Kelly, from one mama to another, I totally understand! I have immensely picky eaters and am always so grateful when I see things like chicken tenders and fries on the menu! Every time my family and I visit Walt Disney World Resort, I try to get my little Mouseketeers to try new food. Sometimes the only way it actually happens is if I offer those delightful Character Gummies from
Goofy’s Candy Company as a side! —We do what we have to, am I right?
It is completely at the discretion of the restaurant you’re dining at, but I have known Cast Members at numerous Walt Disney World Resort restaurants to be so very accommodating when it comes to my picky eaters. I would suggest you stop by the restaurant before your reservation to explain your situation. Many times if the chef can, they will substitute a meal and make your Mouseketeers something they actually will eat. Chefs at The Most Magical Place on Earth are pros at dealing with picky eaters!
I think you’ll love
Hollywood & Vine. It is so much fun to celebrate with Minnie and friends as they walk around the restaurant and dance! Be sure to have your camera ready because they will stop by to pose for a socially distanced selfie! Also, can we take a moment to discuss my favorite part of the meal? Dessert! Just thinking about the
Chocolate S’mores Pie makes my mouth water. I would encourage you to be sure you have the
My Disney Experience Mobile app so you can use the
Mobile Dine Check-In feature which makes everything feel so convenient!
Of course, if your hEARt is set on
Chef Mickey’s, I suggest you keep checking for availability. Oftentimes, plans change and people end up cancelling or rescheduling dining reservations; since your magical vacation is still a few months away, I think there’s definitely a possibility for you to find a reservation!
I’m sending you all the pixie-dust and hope you have the most enchanting vacation, Kelly!
