Ka-chow, Ken!
I’m so glad you followed that second star to the right straight here to planDisney. Oh boy, I see that the countdown to your
Walt Disney World Resort vacation has dipped below the two week mark - hooray! I bet you can’t wait to experience the EARidescent excitement of
The World’s Most Magical Celebration soon.
Ken, I did a little research on the Jackery Portable Power Station Explorer you are referencing. Technically, this device is categorized as a generator. While the
Walt Disney World Property Rules don't explicitly list generators as a prohibited item at the theme parks, generators are indeed listed as a prohibited item at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. The property rules go on to say that Walt Disney World “reserves the right to prohibit the use or storage of any other item not listed above.” I would err on the side of caution and find an alternative power bank to bring since generators are listed within the entirety of the property rules.
If you are worried that a smaller power bank won’t have enough backup power to keep you going, you might want to consider taking advantage of the
third-party phone charging system kiosks (currently operated by FuelRod) in the theme parks. These kiosks allow you to purchase a kit that includes a fully charged portable phone charger and charging cord for your smart device. If your FuelRod runs out of pixie dust, you can simply head to another kiosk and trade it out for another fully charged phone charger (another fee may apply). To find the nearest FuelRod kiosk, simply click on the magnifying glass icon in your
My Disney Experience mobile app and search the term “charge.” Click on “Portable Phone Charging System Kiosks,” then “Find on Map” to see the locations near you.
Ken, please stop by
planDisney again if you have further questions before you’re off to Neverland. Have a magical trip!
Think happy thoughts,
Alyssa
