Can you bring ice in a ziplock bag and placed in a small cooler?

    Hi Eva!

Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. With the release of the new park rules earlier this year, I'm glad you reached out for clarification to make sure you are ready to go for your visit!

Loose ice being prohibited from the parks was a security measure in place to keep everyone safe while expediting the required time for Guest bags being searched. Though loose ice isn't allowed in coolers any more, Disneyland Resort recognizes that Guests often bring soft sided coolers in the park and need a way to keep their stuff cool. While ice packs are recommended when possible, for many Guests staying at hotels, freezers aren't an option. Small ziplock bags with loose ice are allowed, just please make sure that only ice is in the bag and it's kept to a reasonable size. While there aren't specification on the size limit of a bag, if security is unable to easily see that it's just ice, they may request you dump it out. I'd recommend sticking to sandwich size and you should be good to go!

I hope this helps in planning your upcoming visit to The Happiest Place on Earth! Please let us know if we can help out in any other way.
