Can we bring food from the cruise ship to our port adventure? Our port adventure to visit Atlantis hotel runs thru lunch so I want to save some money by bringing food from the ship.

Welcome aboard, Terefil! It sounds like you have a very magical vacation coming up with Disney Cruise Line! I can't wait for your family to experience this amazing cruise to the Bahamas! You will love visiting the Atlantis Resort. In fact, you'll be able to see it from the ship when you pull into port!

Due to customs and agricultural laws in the different ports of call, guests cannot take food and drinks off the ship. The exception is pre-packaged, unopened snacks and drinks. If you bring some snacks from home, that's fine. And bottled water is fine too. I always like to bring some unopened bottles of water from onboard and throw a few granola bars or individual packs of crackers in our bag when we head out into port. I totally get that you want to save as much as possible when you enjoy your adventure, my family feels the same. Sometimes we'll just bring some snacks with us and then enjoy a late lunch back on the ship. If your adventure isn't first thing in the morning, you can also have the luxury of enjoying a late breakfast which would hold you over until you get back onboard.

Atlantis does offer some great food and drink options, so if you get hungry, there's always a place to purchase lunch.

I hope those details help as you continue planning, Terefil! Enjoy your cruise!
