Hi, Kerry!
Your trip is coming up! I'm excited you're planning down to the kind of snacks you want to bring into the park.
Good news, as long as your food doesn't need to be warmed up, you can bring it into the park. There are some types of bag size restrictions, so you may need to be mindful of
park rules. I know some people who travel with a full picnic using a soft cooler backpack. You can also bring in your own non-alcoholic drinks into the parks but you cannot bring in anything that is in glass containers. Be sure to tell the security guards about your food when they search your bags before you enter each park.
When I visit with the family, I usually carry granola bars and maybe a couple of bags of snack crackers. I also carry water bottles that have filters inside them so I can just use the water fountains around the parks to stay hydrated.
If you decide to bring in a lot of food during your park visit, there are lockers you can rent to store your food until you need it.
I hope that helps! Bringing snacks into the park are a great way to save money!
