Hi Paige! Thanks for visiting planDisney.
Adults may not wear costumes to the parks, although Guests 13 and under may wear them so long as they meet the
Park Rules for dress. For example, while younger Guests can wear masks, those masks can't cover the entire face and the eyes must still be visible. We punched the eye screen out of a Mandalorian mask to make it work for the park for our eldest last year. He was able to safely see while enjoying the parks and still got to get into the spirit of the season. Grab some festive menu items while you're at it.
Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort has yummy treats and snacks, merchandise, and entertainment to enjoy.
Dress for special events such as the sold-out
Oogie Boogie Bash - A Disney Halloween Party is a little different: Adults may wear costumes to these fun specially ticketed events but can't wear masks. There are some other guidelines you'll want to check out if you're attending this event on your upcoming park day. I mention these details because our favorite mercenary typically has his face covered when he's in costume. I don't want anyone to arrive and be turned away by security. That would be so not super.
Of course, it is always up to the discretion of security what can safely be allowed in the parks. Terms are subject to change. But typically, Guests can bring toy swords to party events. Non-party dress rules prohibit accessories that appear to be real weapons. Depending on the circumstances, I hope you're able to bring in your costume accessory and that your Deadpool costume is good to go too. However, I'd suggest having a backup plan in case you can't bring the sword inside. Be ready to run it back to your car or your hotel room, for example. Alternatively, leave it at home if you don't want to potentially be asked to ditch the sword.
I hope this helps!
