Hi Jamie! Thanks for dropping by planDisney.
If you check out the current guidelines for
dress at special events for kids, you'll find that costumes and masks can be worn so long as the mask doesn't cover the entire face and the eyes are still visible. Unfortunately, your son's costume won't be allowed in the parks. While it's always up to the discretion of security what can safely be allowed in the parks, Morphsuits don't meet the guidelines for children or adults. You don't want to be turned away for the sold-out
Oogie Boogie Bash - A Disney Halloween Party, so leave the Morphsuit at home.
I'm sorry if that's not the news you were hoping for today! Thankfully, you still have a couple of days to devise an alternate plan. I hope you have some other fun costume he can wear that doesn't conflict with
park rules. We usually have some costume elements hanging around the house from spirit days at school, which I can throw together as a makeshift costume when something less involved is needed. While many Guests don costumes, you'll also see plenty of families boasting Halloween-themed t-shirts and dressed more casually for a night of fun, which is another quick option if this year's costume conflicts with park rules.
What part of the party are you most excited about? The Villains Grove presented by Citizen would be my first stop! I love a good Disney villain. Or maybe you have some special menu items on your must-try list. Whatever festive fun the night holds, I hope you have a spooky good time.
Boo to you!
