Welcome to
planDisney, Jeffrey! Thanks so much for stopping by with your question about bringing your dog with you during your next visit to the Walt Disney World Resort!
I'm happy to report that you may bring your dog with you during your next vacation. I just took my dogs during my family's most recent stay at
Disney's Port Orleans- Riverside Resort in June. It was so easy! We've also stayed at
The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort many times over the years.
You do have a few options when it comes to where your dogs can stay with you during your vacation. These include:
Disney’s Art of Animation Resort
Disney Port Orleans Resort – Riverside
Disney’s Yacht Club Resort
The Cabins at Fort Wilderness Resort
According to
Disney's website, these rooms have easy access to outdoor walkways for exercise and to green spaces with pet relief areas. Upon arrival, dogs and their owners will be greeted with a complimentary Pluto’s Welcome Kit.
Right now, dogs are the only pets allowed, with a maximum of 2 permitted per Guest room. The fees can vary from $50-$75 per night, depending on your Disney Resort Collection hotel and are subject to change.
Dogs are expected to be well-behaved, leashed in public areas and properly vaccinated. I asked the vet for a printout of my dog's vaccinations before we left for our vacation and kept the paperwork handy.
My family and I would walk our two dogs in the morning and return to our room midday for another walk and some snuggles. We also kept our dogs in a dog carrier/ kennel when we weren't in our room.
Jeffrey, I hope this information is helpful to you as you continue to plan your visit. Please feel free to come back to see us if you have any more questions. It's always
our pleasure to help you with all the details of your next vacation!
