Can we bring a copy of certified birth certificates instead of actual copy?

    Welcome aboard, Erica,

Thanks for sailing by planDisney with your question! I'm glad you are preparing for your Disney Cruise Line vacation by getting your travel documents in order.

All Guests must provide the following citizenship documentation:

    • either an original valid US Passport OR
    • an original or copy of their state-issued birth certificate AND a physical Government-issued photo ID.

So, if you are asking if you may provide a copy of the certified birth certificates instead of the original, you may. The exact documentation you must provide varies by itinerary, so be sure to confirm that information soon in case a valid passport or visa is required for your destination.

Erica, when completing your Online Check-In through the My Reservations link under the Already Booked tab, you will be asked to upload copies of your travel documents. I like to snap a picture or scan my documents before the check-in date arrives, so I have them ready to go when the time comes. I'm always so excited on that big day that the fewer things to worry about, the better!

I hope this information is exactly what you need to set sail, Erica. Please let us know if you have other questions.

    Wishing you many magical memories,
    Shannon
