Ahoy Elizabeth!
Thanks for sailing by with this sweet question. I'm making my first visit to
Gideon's Bakehouse at
Disney Springs this coming weekend and I'm already dreaming of Chocolate Chip Cookies and Pumpkin Chai Cold Brew. You sound like a fellow dessert lover so let's see what your options are for your upcoming
Disney Cruise Line vacation.
I took a look at the Prohibited Items information which unfortunately confirmed my suspicions that Gideon's cookies aren't considered a cruise-friendly food option. I did reach out to a Cast Member just to see if there was anything I may have misinterpreted, but they let me know that regrettably,
homemade or pre-cooked food items, open snack containers, or any other perishable items cannot be brought onboard any Disney Cruise Line ship. I would never deny a fellow cookie lover a sweet morsel, so you'll just have to be sure to consume any cookies purchased before you arrive to the Port Terminal on embarkation day.
I know this is likely not the information you hoped to hear, but I do have a suggestion if you're craving something sweet during your sailing. The
Rotational Dining restaurants always have an impressive list of dessert options available each evening, but if it's cookies you crave, you'll be able to order some via complimentary
Room Service for delivery to your Stateroom. My family loves requesting them delivered warm on the last evening of our sailing. It's a sweet send-off that helps lessen the sting of disembarking the following morning.
I hope this helped Elizabeth. If we can be of further assistance please don't hesitate to reach out again.
Bon voyage,
Amy
