Hi Suzanne,
Disney World has several rules in place to keep all of its guests safe! There is a
list of prohibited items that guests cannot bring into the theme parks. Unfortunately, the list specifically states that folding chairs are not allowed in any theme park, water park, or Disney Springs. It does not specifically mention a collapsible stool but the item you describe sounds pretty close to a folding chair. All items are subject to the discretion of the security guards at each entrance so I would hate to get to the entrance and have to turn around and bring something back to my car or resort hotel because it is not allowed. If you have additional questions or want confirmation about the specific item, I would contact the
Non-Reservation Questions phone number.
If you are concerned about mobility throughout the theme parks, Disney World has places where you can
rent a wheelchair or ECV. Rental stations are located at the entrance to each theme park and are super convenient. We have rented from them several times on our trips when we had a family member who needed a little more support for the long days and extra steps on a Disney World trip.
If you are concerned about needing space to take a break, all of Disney's theme parks have great locations where you can sit and relax. My favorite relaxation spot at EPCOT is the
Connections Cafe where you can recharge your legs and your phone! Several of the tables here have built-in charging stations and they serve Starbucks. In Magic Kingdom, I love to take a break and get a snack at
Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe. They have cool indoor seating that offers a nice quiet place to relax on a warm day.
Happy Planning,
Jenna
