Hi Melanie! Welcome to planDisney. Planning ahead for ways to stay comfortable while exploring the
Disneyland Resort is a great idea, and I’m happy to help you prepare for a smooth and enjoyable visit.
According to
Disneyland Resort guidelines, mobility aids such as wheelchairs, Electric Conveyance Vehicles (ECVs), walkers with seats, and cane chairs are permitted in the parks. These devices can be very helpful when navigating queues and spending a full day enjoying attractions and entertainment. As long as the item is considered a mobility aid and does not fall under the list of
prohibited items (such as folding chairs or stools that are not designed as mobility devices), you should be all set. If you would like confirmation about your specific device, a friendly Cast Member at
Guest Relations near the park entrances would be happy to assist and ensure everything meets the current guidelines.
I also noticed that your visit coincides with the
Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival. This is a fantastic time to visit, as the park fills with
Marketplace booths serving delicious dishes inspired by the flavors of the Golden State. It also marks the limited-time return of one of my favorite attractions,
Soarin’ Over California. This version of the attraction is only available during the festival, so as a fellow “Q-Tip,” I highly recommend making it a priority if you have the opportunity. When you take flight, be sure to keep an eye (and nose!) out for some memorable sights and scents that make this experience so special.
If you’re looking for additional ways to make your day a little easier, you may also want to consider
Lightning Lane Multi Pass. This option allows you to use the Lightning Lane entrance at select attractions, which can help reduce time spent waiting in standby queues. You can purchase Lightning Lane Multi Pass for everyone in your group either before your visit or once you arrive, and then use the Disneyland app to begin selecting return times as soon as you enter the park. I use this option often, and it has helped my family enjoy favorites like
Haunted Mansion and
Space Mountain while still leaving time for a relaxing meal on
Main Street, U.S.A. at
Carnation Café.
Melanie, I hope this helps you feel confident as you plan a comfortable and memorable
Disneyland visit. If you have any additional questions or would like more tips for navigating the parks at a relaxed pace, please visit us again at planDisney. We are always delighted to help Guests plan magical moments.
Happy adventuring!
