Hiya Ya-Ping,
Welcome to planDisney! Thank you so much for bringing up such an important question to us! As someone who has visited the Most Magical Place on Earth at every stage of her baby’s life (and nursed/pumped everyone you can imagine at the resort), I have spent a lot of time planning to make sure that I could enjoy my vacation and make sure that my baby also had a magical time.
The great news is that you can bring your breast pump and bottles with you to the Theme Parks (even smaller glass baby bottles). Unfortunately, the
Baby Care Centers, which are the perfect place for a bit of privacy when pumping and nursing, cannot store your breast pumps or breast milk for you. If you don’t want to carry your pump or milk during the day, I recommend renting a locker! They can be found near the entrance to each Theme Park and are an ideal place to store those personal items. You can pay for them using a credit/debit card,
Disney Gift Card, MagicBand, or cash! Another tip is to bring a small, soft-sided cooler with you filled with either ice packs or zippered plastic storage bags filled with ice. This can help you keep your milk cold throughout the day, making it perfect for whenever you need it. Don’t forget that loose ice is prohibited at Walt Disney World Resort, so if you decide to go with the loose ice option, it must be in bags.
I hope this was helpful, Ya-Ping. Sometimes, I found the Baby Care Centers too busy, and my little one couldn’t calm down to eat. So, I got a little creative about finding quiet places in each Theme Park that afforded some privacy and the calm I needed to lull my baby to sleep. Before I let you go, I wanted to share one of my favorite places to nurse my baby quietly outside the Baby Care Center. My favorite spot is outside
The Dino Institute Shop in
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park.
There is a little shaded seated area that has some small fountains and tends to be pretty empty. It is an excellent option in a pinch, so be sure to jot it down in case you need it! Please come back and see us if you need anything else.
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
