Ahoy Robin!
Thanks for sailing by with this question. I just love that you'll be celebrating your granddaughter's birthday on your upcoming cruise. My family usually likes to take a birthday trip instead of planning a big party, and I can't think of a better way to celebrate a birthday than with a
Disney Cruise Line sailing.
Unfortunately,
homemade, precooked, and perishable foods are on the list of prohibited items so you won't be able to bring a cake onboard. But not to worry! There are plenty of ways to make the birthday girl feel special during your voyage. First, be sure to
note the occasion under
"My Reservations" in advance of your sailing. You can also order an adorable 10-inch Mickey or Minnie cake from the selection of
Onboard Gifts and have it delivered to your stateroom or
Rotational Dining restaurant.
Based on your location, I'm guessing you might be on a 5-Night Western Caribbean Cruise on
Disney Magic. Not only will you get to celebrate Rapunzel's birthday at
Rapunzel's Royal Table, but you'll also enjoy a wide selection of desserts at each of the Rotational Dining restaurants. I bet your server team will go out of their way to make a fuss if you let them know about your granddaughter's celebration. I'd also recommend inquiring about the Cake of the Day from the complimentary
Room Service menu. So much cake, so little time! You definitely won't miss bringing one along from home.
Did you know that you can also arrange for stateroom decor and gifts for the birthday girl? Availability is subject to change but this
Celebrate Today Birthday Decor package is sure to be a hit!
I hope this was helpful Robin. If we can offer any additional recommendations please come back and let us know. I'm wishing you a most magical sailing and a very happy birthday to your granddaughter next April.
Bon Voyage!
Amy
