Hi Amanda! Welcome to planDisney!
You are so lucky to be bringing a little one to
Walt Disney World Resort very soon! As a mom of three, who has taken each of them at a very young age, I know that long, hot days in the Theme Parks can seem a little overwhelming. I promise that if you take it slow, use the
Baby Care Centers, and maybe even head back to relax by the pool or nap at your Resort midday, everyone, including Baby, is sure to have a wonderful time!
You'll be thrilled to know that your little one is able to ride any and all attractions at the Theme Parks that do not have a height requirement! Between
meeting some favorite characters like Mickey Mouse himself, taking a relaxing cruise across the globe on
"it's a small world" or feeling the breeze as you tour Tomorrowland on the
Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover, you're sure to have plenty to do together. In fact, there are over 100 rides and attractions across the Parks that have no height requirement at all.
If you do decide to add in some thrills while you're visiting, you can always try
Rider Switch. First, all members of your party meet with a Cast Member at the line entrance. One adult then stays outside with the baby while the other gets to ride, and then the adults switch and the other adult gets to ride without having to wait in line again! It's a win-win, especially if Baby is snoozing at the time!
When it comes to strollers, I think it really depends on the age and needs of your baby. While
Walt Disney World Resort Stroller Rentals are certainly convenient, they do not offer the ability to recline, making it difficult for teeny-tiny ones to sit or lay down comfortably. If you're traveling with a toddler who has a consistent nap that you're planning for, this might not be an issue.
You also want to think about whether or not you plan to use the stroller outside of the Theme Parks. Walt Disney World Stroller Rentals can only be used inside the Parks. If you plan on strolling around
Disney's BoardWalk or touring other Resorts you might want to bring one from home or rent one from a third-party vendor so that you can have a stroller at all times. We've found that we love the Disney strollers for our older children because they're SO easy to maneuver, but for the smallest members of our party, we tend to bring our own along. According to the
Walt Disney World Resort Property Rules strollers must be no larger than 31" wide and 52" long, and stroller wagons are not permitted.
I hope you and your family have a completely amazing time at The Most Magical Place on Earth! Please come back and see us again if you have any other planning questions!
