Hi Bret! We were hoping to catch the Electrical Water Pageant at the Poly. Resort beach on Sept 14, 2010 and wondering if the timing of the Halloween fireworks at MK will effect the start time of the water parade. Thanks! Dana

    Dana,

The electrical water pageant is a great "hidden gem" at WDW.  If you can conveniently fit it into your schedule, I highly recommend it. It usually has the following approximate schedule...

    Polynesian -- 9 pm
    Grand Floridian -- 9:15 pm
    Wilderness Lodge -- 9:35 pm
    Fort Wilderness -- 9:45 pm
    Contemporary Resort -- 10:05 pm

My understanding is that if the fireworks at the Magic Kingdom are scheduled for 9pm, then the Water Pageant schedule will be delayed by about 20 minutes.  Or, they sometimes take a break during the fireworks, if the fireworks are at 9:30pm (e.g., Wilderness Lodge, Fort Wilderness and Contemporary viewing would be delayed).

I believe for Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party, the fireworks will be at 9:30pm, so you should be fine watching the Water Pageant at 9PM from the Poly.  I know that was the case for me a few years ago when I saw the Water Pageant from the Poly beach at 9PM and then watched the Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party fireworks at 9:30 from the same beach ( a great spot to watch both these events, by the way!).

However, it is always a good idea to ask at the concierge desk for the latest schedule, just to be sure that things haven't changed, or the schedule isn't adjusted for the night you are there.

    Hope that helps!
