We have breakfast reservations for Tusker House in Animal Kingdom at 8:20. Will we be able to make this reservation utilizing transportation from the Contemporary?

Jambo, Lisa! Thanks for stopping by with your question. You will definitely be able to utilize complimentary Disney Transportation buses to make your 8:20 a.m. breakfast at Tusker House Restaurant. The buses to the theme parks do not begin regular operation until around an hour before park opening, but Disney does understand that many Guests require transportation earlier than this. My experience is that buses generally start picking up Guests from the resorts before 7:00 a.m. for early morning breakfast reservations. My family is quite fond of these early breakfasts so we can visit with our favorite Disney pals before searching for the okapi and elephants on Kilimanjaro Safaris.

When you arrive at the bus stop at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, you will notice screens in the area that show the approximate wait until the next bus arrives for each destination. In my experience, it can take around 20-30 minutes to get from your Resort to Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park. There could possibly be a delay in getting a bus to the park, so be sure to arrive at your bus stop with plenty of extra time to spare. If it looks like you may run short on time, check with a Cast Member in the area and they will help you grab a cab to the park.

I hope you enjoy your breakfast with Donald and his safari pals, Lisa! If you need directional guidance while at the Resort, be sure to check out the new Get Directions feature of the My Disney Experience app. It can give you step by step, turn by turn, directions for reaching any spot!
