I would like to make a breakfast reservation at Animal Kingdom when they have early morning hours either at Tusker House or Rainforest Cafe. Are the restaurants open an hour early and what time would the buses start running to get there in tiime?

Opening hours at the park restaurants can vary, but often they will open prior to park opening, even on morning Extra Magic Hours days. What you need to do is see what you can get. I am a big fan of breakfast reservations prior to park opening!

What is more of a consideration is what you mention here, transportation. The regular bus service to any given park opens officially one hour prior to park opening. So if morning Extra Magic Hours start at 8 am, the buses start running at 7 am.

But with the Animal Kingdom Park I have experienced some issues. When we do Donald's Safari Breakfast (our #1 breakfast choice in all of Walt Disney World!), we always talk to our resort's transportation desk a day or two prior to our reservation. We tell them times that we have to be there, as compared to opening times. They then help us ensure that we will get there on a timely basis. That is what I suggest you do as well!

BOTTOM LINE: So yes, they will open earlier to match the morning Extra Magic Hours (or at least that is my experience), and transportation starts 1 hour prior to park opening.

Have a magical (and delicious) vacation!
