Breakfast, lunch, or dinner at crystal palace? What is best time, seating, any suggestions?

I had dinner at the Crystal Palace just two nights ago -- my first trip alone with just the twins, so special. We have breakfast at the Crystal Palace every trip, but this was the first time I had had dinner there in years. I have to say that, other than the food (breakfast food at breakfast, dinner food at dinner), the experience at this character dining location was identical. The characters were the same, and Eeyore was still sad, Tigger was still bouncy, Pooh was still hungry, and Piglet was still, well, pink. We had the same quality attention from the characters at both meals.

That being said, I will say that I prefer breakfast at this location. Here's why ...

We always try to get the first available seating at the Crystal Palace on a non-Extra-Magic day. This typically means that our reservation will be at 8:05 a.m. and the park opens at 9:00 a.m.  There is a special entrance turnstile reserved for guests with early character meal reservations, so there's no tussle getting into the park at this hour.  The cast members will often let you into the park as early as 7:45 in this situation. This means that we have 10 to 15 minutes with a fairly empty park. Nothing will be open, but this is really the only opportunity you'll ever have in daylight to take photos of your family in front of the castle without gajillions of other guests in the shot. Sometimes there are even PhotoPass photographers there that early so you can get the entire family in the shot.

Plus, I really love those Pooh waffles, and breakfast lasagna, and french toast, and muffins, and anything else with carbs in it that's not nailed down :-)
