Brand new DVC members looking to book accommodations for extended family, 10 adults and 6 kids ages 1-12. We plan on visiting Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios. Do you have a recommendation for a resort that would have a little something for everyone?

Welcome Home Lindsay, and a GREAT BIG WELCOME to the Disney Vacation Club family! One of my favorite things about being a Disney Vacation Club Member is the variety of Resort options that we have. Depending on where, when, and what type of vacation you desire, there is something for everyone!

Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Magic Kingdom Park have all the FUN for large, extended families. But, consider adding Animal Kingdom Park to your itinerary. My kiddos range from 4 to 16, and it is hands down their favorite Park! From the attractions to the animals, ALL of you will be delightfully entertained.

Speaking of animals, I think that Animal Kingdom Villas, either Jambo House or Kidani Village, would be an excellent place for you all to stay! The Resort is a bit set apart from the hustle and bustle of the Theme Parks, and it is truly an exotic oasis with incredible decor, delicious food, and live animals. Seriously, nothing is better than waking up to a giraffe munching on breakfast outside of your bedroom window!

To be closer to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge (!), I would suggest a return visit to Disney’s Beach Club Villas. It is one of the Epcot Resorts, and a convenient 10-minute boat ride or 15-minute walk away from Disney’s Hollywood Studios. It has hands down the BEST pool on property (littles will love it!), and the adults will enjoy being close to Epcot’s International Gateway and the World Showcase where they can eat (and drink!) around the World.

One of our “homes” is Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge. We love the modern rustic feel of the Resort, as well as the fantastic amenities. You can rent bikes, go for a pony ride, or test your archery skills all while being a quick boat ride from Magic Kingdom Park! We love taking the kiddos down before bed for s’mores by the campfire, and Reunion Station offers fantastic Members-only workshops - including an animation workshop and a tasting series.

Lindsay, I hope this gives you a taste of the Magic. I know whichever Resort you pick for your grand family adventure will be fantastic!
