Hi there, my boyfriend and I are wanting to purchase the southern california tickets. My ID however is not californ ID because I have not gotten my new ID yet but have proof (bills/residency proof) as i’ve been living in CA for 6 months. is this ok?

Hi Mackenzie! Welcome to planDisney and thank you for coming to us with your question!

I'm so excited for you and your boyfriend to visit the Happiest Place on Earth! It's a great time to visit as the Disney100 Celebration is in full swing throughout the entire Resort and it's so beautifully decorated. You're going to love watching the new nighttime spectaculars together. For those of us who grew up watching Disney movies, Wondrous Journeys is a very moving, emotional show that will bring a tear to your eye.

The Special Southern California Resident Ticket offer is a great way for locals to visit the Parks. You get a three-day, one-park per day ticket that can be used on non-consecutive weekdays through May 25, 2023. It is only eligible for Southern California residents living within ZIP codes 90000-93599. I recently spoke to a Cast Member about the forms of ID that they would accept and I'm afraid that they were quite clear that Guests had to present a government issued photo ID that listed your Southern California address to be eligible.

I'm sorry if that wasn't quite the answer you were hoping for but I hope that you both are still able to visit the Disneyland Resort this year. As the Disney Parks Blog reported, there will be several opportunities to purchase the lowest Tier ticket this year and there's so much going on! The Food & Wine Festival is currently underway at Disney California Adventure and I've heard some wonderful reviews about the foods being offered this year. I'd also highly encourage a ride on Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway, the newest attraction at the Disneyland Resort. It's quickly become one of my favorite rides!

Mackenzie, I hope I was able to clear things up for you and that you and your boyfriend are able to make future plans to visit. If you have any further questions for us, please do not hesitate to contact anyone here at planDisney!

    Have a Magical Day!

Meet the Panelist: Al, California

Ahoy there from the heart of Steinbeck Country in central California! I've been visiting the Disneyland Resort since childhood and fell in love with the sense of absolute immersion that the Imagineers have achieved. My favorite attraction is Pirates of the Caribbean because where else can you go from a California day to an evening boat ride in the bayou with "salty old pirates"? I'm a veterinarian and an all-around Disney geek and enthusiast. I'd love to help you plan your next Disneyland trip! Learn More About Al
