Rising moons, Isabela, and welcome to the planet we call planDisney! Your visit to Batuu at
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge is coming up in just a few parsecs, so I hope you have your lightsaber packed and ready to hit light speed. My husband and I always try to have a nightcap at
Oga's Cantina, so let's make sure you can return to your home galaxy after your pitstop there.
Although hours are always subject to change, the
Disney Skyliner typically runs about 60-90 minutes past park closing. When I visited last week, a sign was posted with operating hours at the Skyliner station, so be sure to look for that to help plan your day.
If you've sought refreshments at the cantina before, you'll recall that you have about 45 minutes to spend there, so you should be finished by about 10:30. So, I double-checked the
current park hours for May 13, and it looks like
Disney's Hollywood Studios closes at 9:30 that night, but for the rest of that week, the park will close at 10:00. I don't know when your reservation is for Oga's Cantina, but it looks like the Disney Skyliner will be operating until around 11:00 for most of your stay. Also, just so you know, the Skyliner will not run in the event of storms, meteor or otherwise.
I spoke to a Cast Member who is strong in the Force, and she suggested you check with a Cast Member at the park exit to see what modes of transportation are still operating that evening. She also mentioned that you'd have the option of ride-sharing, and signs at the exit would direct you to that area. Another tip is to let your server know that you'd like to catch the Disney Skyliner, and I'm sure they'll make sure your visit is as magical as it is efficient. I always have the
Fuzzy Tauntaun at Oga's, but I'm still not sure what causes it to tingle. If you find out, please let me know!
'Til the spires, Isabela, and have a
Blue Milk for me on your upcoming
Walt Disney World Resort visit. Please
stop by planDisney anytime!
Magic awaits,
Elaine
