Hello, my boyfriend purchased tickets for Disneyland now that it has reopened. But I do not live in California and when he purchased tickets it said nothing about having to be a California Resident only. How can we fix this issue?

Hi Leah, and welcome to planDisney!

Thank you for stopping by with your question. It looks like you’re planning a visit to the Disneyland Resort later this week, so let’s get right to it!

At this time, only California Residents may visit the Disneyland theme parks, and in groups no larger than 3 households. This is due to governmental regulations as well as policies designed to protect Guest health and safety. Proof of residency may be required; please see the Returning to a World of Magic information for the most up-to-date guidance. I also recommend watching the Disney Parks Blog for any updates; at this time, we don’t know when the parks will open up to out-of-state Guests, but they will certainly announce it there.

You may call (714) 781-4636 to discuss your options for the tickets that have already been purchased. Depending on the ticket type, wholly unused tickets may be applied to future visits, and my pal Angie is sharing all the details in this helpful answer.

I know this isn’t the news you were hoping for, Leah, and I’m sorry for any confusion. I’m sending pixie-dusted wishes that you and your boyfriend are “walking right down the middle of Main Street, U.S.A.” together very soon.

Have a great big beautiful tomorrow,
    Robyn
