Hi Jennifer,
Welcome to planDisney and congratulations on your happy news! A new little Mouseketeer is certainly cause for celebration.
I hope you're feeling great but I can understand why you've decided to cancel your upcoming visit. Though many attractions at Walt Disney World Resort are mild and safe for all ages, my own experience with morning sickness (or let's be honest sometimes all-day sickness) would have likely also forced me to postpone a visit.
I hate to be the bearer of some less-than-magical news but unfortunately,
theme park tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable. While you won't receive a refund for these tickets, the value of wholly
unused expired tickets can usually be applied to a future visit, as long as the new tickets are of equal to or greater than the original purchase. You are welcome to
call a Cast Member for more specifics, but I'd recommend modifying your visit to a future date and bringing your little bundle of joy along when you feel the time is right.
You can apply the value to a future visit to Disney's Hollywood Studios and let your little one take in the colorful fun of Andy's Backyard in
Toy Story Land (a personal favorite of mine), or make plans to visit
Magic Kingdom Park and enjoy the many nostalgic and all-height friendly attractions. My toddler loved taking in the sights and sounds of the
Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade just as much as she loved soaring off to Neverland on Peter Pan's Flight. You can find a full list of attractions and experiences in the
My Disney Experience Mobile App, and even filter by age, height and/or interest. Simply select the map icon at the bottom of the screen (second from left) and choose "Attractions" from the drop-down menu. From there, select the "Filter" button in the upper left corner and scroll down to sort by your desired filters. You'll also be able to visit the
Baby Care Centers to feed or change your adventurer or even enjoy a quiet moment between activities.
If the thought of navigating the parks with strollers and diaper bags doesn't appeal to you just yet, you can always opt for an adults-only visit down the road. My husband and I enjoyed a child-free weekend in September and loved experiencing the parks at a slower pace and savoring a cocktail or two at the many lounges on property. Parents deserve some magic and pixie dust too!
Jennifer, I hope this was helpful. If we can answer any additional questions please come back and let us know. Wishing you a happy and healthy pregnancy and an exciting year ahead!
Magic and memories,
Amy
