Hi Katie! Thanks for stopping by planDisney!
As I'm already watching the leaves change up here in Massachusetts I'm more than a little jealous of your new status as a resident of the Sunshine State! Not only are you going to have the perk of gorgeous weather all year round, but the absolute BEST part of your move is that you'll be so close to
The Most Magical Place on Earth!
When you're ready to purchase your
Florida Resident Tickets you'll want to decide whether you're planning a short vacation or you're looking into becoming an
Annual Passholder so you can visit all throughout the year. Right now the
Disney Pixie Dust Pass, which is only available to Florida residents, is the only Annual Pass available for purchase. Lucky for you, this Annual Pass provides you with visits on most weekdays (with some blockout days), the ability to make up to three
Theme Park Reservations at a time, standard Theme Park parking, merchandise discounts, and more!
When purchasing your Florida Resident Theme Park Tickets or Disney Pixie Dust Passes both you and your boyfriend will need to show
Proof of Florida Residency if you're over 18 years of age. To conveniently verify your residence online instead of at the Park gates you would need to have either a valid Florida driver's license with a Florida address, a valid Florida state-issued ID card, or a Florida-based military ID.
Even though it sounds like you do not have these yet you can still purchase Florida Resident tickets as long as you can provide other proof of residency. Other accepted forms of identification are monthly mortgage statements, automobile and homeowner's insurance policies or bills, and even utility bills, as long as they are no more than two months old and the name on them corresponds to your current photo ID, such as a driver's license or passport.
While bills for your apartment may come in your boyfriend's name, you may look to another type of bill or mail with your name on it that is sent to your current Florida address. Mail such as bank statements, cell phone bills, or mail from a federal, state, county, or city governmental agency will all work, again as long as they are not more than two months old. You can even show electronic bills right on your smartphone!
